It started the way all great things do—at a wedding, drenched in sequins, and slightly sleep-deprived.
We (two sisters and our mom) showed up in outfits we designed ourselves, thinking nothing of it—until aunties, cousins, and even complete strangers started stopping us
mid-biryani bite to ask, “Where did you get that?” When we casually said, “Oh, we made it,” their reactions ranged from impressed nods to full-blown interrogation mode.
That’s when we realized—maybe we weren’t the only ones tired of the same old South Asian fashion.
So we took the hint and ran with it. Chamak is for the Gen-Z and Millennial diaspora—the ones who grew up playing dress-up in their moms’ dupattas, watching Bollywood heroines twirl in chiffon, and dreaming of outfits that felt both nostalgic and new. It’s an ode to our childhoods, reimagined for today. Handcrafted in Pakistan, designed for the ones who want to stand out without saying a word.
